Step into a meaningful moment from history with the Smiffys Evacuee School Girl’s Costume, a character outfit designed to support imaginative dress-up with a strong educational theme. Created to reflect a wartime evacuee look, this costume helps bring historical storytelling into school events, Book Week activities, themed parties and performance settings. This Evacuee School Girl Costume helps to bring history to life. Dressing up is fun, and in this outfit, your little girl can begin to imagine how life must have been for children her age during WW2. The short-sleeved, knee-length, all-in-one dress fastens at the back with Velcro, and is designed to create the appearance of a pinafore with grey top and floral skirt over a white collared shirt. Also included is a beret-style hat, leather-effect satchel bag with Velcro fastening shoulder strap, and a clip-on name tag to add to the authentic evacuee look. Would it have been exciting to be boarding a train to go live in the countryside with people you didn’t know, or would it have been heart-breaking to leave your home and parents behind? Lots to think about, but also lots of fun to be had in a costume that gives you an instant character image, but is comfy enough to be yourself in all party long. (Socks and shoes not included). Bring history into your next event with the Smiffys Evacuee School Girl’s Costume, available online at Spotlight. Add this memorable costume to your collection and create a dress-up look that encourages storytelling, learning and imaginative play.
